 In September we hosted a Webelos Activity Pin Clinic. We presented the Readyman and Geologist pins. This activity was very well received by the area Webelos Scouts.

 Meet for summer camp at 11:00AM Sunday June 25th at SEAS. Wear your swim suit and red troop T-shirt under your uniform. Bring a bag lunch, we will eat lunch while we wait for check-in. The "What to Bring List" is in the Downloads section.

Now it is time for summer camp. It is time to make the final payment and get set for camp. Everyone must fill out a medical form before we leave. We will be going to camp on Sunday June 25th and returning home on Saturday July 1st. Download the Camp Packet in the Downloads section.

 Many Scouts are woefully behind on their dues. The chart below indicates that over $80 in dues are outstanding. Please get caught up on your dues and try to remember to bring $0.50 every week.

It seems like forever but it is only a year away. Mr. Guirl will be leading a crew through 12 days and 60+ miles of mountainous backpacking. If you want to get a chance to go along, get a form and get it turned in to the council office with your deposit.

| Andy Novak’s Eagle Scout ceremony will be held on Saturday May 13th at 11:00AM. The location has been changed to Fluor near Haywood Mall. There will be a reception following the ceremony. Join us to welcome Andy into the ranks of Eagle Scouts.

| Now it is starting to feel like time to get ready for summer camp. If your registration isn’t in, get it in. If you deposit isn’t paid, get it paid. If you need a medical form get it filled out. We will be going to camp on June 25th and returning home on July 1st.

On April 29th we are going backpacking. We are going to try to do two trips. One route will be for the heavy carriers and one for those who carry a lighter load. Since we try to limit backpack weight to 25% of body weight it becomes difficult for some younger members to go three nights. The long trip will on the Foothills Trail from Sassafras Mountain to Caesars Head. The one night trip will be an out and back at Caesars Head State Park. In order to pull this off we will need two crews with adult leadership, so now is the time to dust off that old pack and hit the trail. Both of these trips will include an up-close encounter with Ravencliff Falls and so many other great views.
