OutingsOn April 29th we are going backpacking. We are going to try to do two trips. One route will be for the heavy carriers and one for those who carry a lighter load. Since we try to limit backpack weight to 25% of body weight it becomes difficult for some younger members to go three nights. The long trip will on the Foothills Trail from Sassafras Mountain to Caesars Head. The one night trip will be an out and back at Caesars Head State Park. In order to pull this off we will need two crews with adult leadership, so now is the time to dust off that old pack and hit the trail. Both of these trips will include an up-close encounter with Ravencliff Falls and so many other great views.
